Slovakia
Slovakia regularly reports police data and data on sentencing to ODIHR. Slovakia's criminal code includes substantive offences and a specific penalty enhancement clause affixed to a large number of base offences. While sentencing data only comprise hate crimes, police data also include hate speech offences. The Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Justice and the Prosecutor's Office collect hate crime data. The data on hate crime are not made public.

INTERNATIONAL REPORTS
Racist and xenophobic hate crime
The UN Human Rights Council, in its Universal Periodical Review, encouraged Slovakia to improve the investigation and prosecution of racist crimes.
Anti-Roma hate crime, Anti-Semitic hate crime
The European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) expressed concern about the increase in racially-motivated physical and verbal attacks over the past few years against members of ethnic minorities, including Roma. It also expressed concern about anti-Semitism.
Anti-Semitic hate crime
The UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) observed manifestations of anti-Semitism in Slovakia.
