The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina reported 71 incidents of racism and xenophobia. These included the following: one physical assault by a group of people against two Bosniac returnees in Zvornik, causing serious injuries to one of the victims; one attack on property owned by two Serb minority returnee families in Sanski Most, when an improvised explosive device was thrown into the yard causing damage to the houses; one case of racist graffiti on a wall in Banja Luka; four cases of threats, including against a Serb in Zenica, against a Serb near the town of Gradiska, one serious case of threats in the Gracanica area, in which Serb families were threatened with having their house set on fire, their children killed and women raped, and a threat against a Croat man; an attempted physical assault; and the rape of a 74-year-old Croat woman returnee.

The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina reported six hate incidents against Muslims, including one case of damage to a Muslim gravestone in Bijeljina, one case of damage to a Muslim graveyard by a group of people, involving the removal of 13 wooden tombstones, some of which were used to make the shape of a cross.

The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina reported 15 hate incidents against Christians and members of other religions, including the desecration of three tombstones in an Orthodox graveyard in Bratunac and one case of damage to property involving damage to windows and the notice board of a Catholic church in Zenica.

The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina reported one case of threats against an LGBT activist during the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, as well as two incidents of serious assault of a gay man by a group of people.

The United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) recommended that Bosnia and Herzegovina strengthen its application of existing criminal provisions on hate speech and hate crimes.
