Хорватия регулярно предоставляет БДИПЧ данные о преступлениях на почве ненависти.
С 2006 года в Хорватии проводилась программа БДИПЧ по работе с правоохранительными органами (LEOP), за которой последовала обновленная программа «Обучение сотрудников правоохранительных органов мерам борьбы с преступлениями на почве ненависти» (ОБПН).
В 2021 году правительство приняло межведомственный "Протокол о мониторинге преступлений на почве ненависти", устанавливающий обязанности государственных органов в борьбе с преступлениями на почве ненависти и пересматривающий обязанности специальной Рабочей группы по мониторингу преступлений на почве ненависти. В 2021 году Рабочая группа приняла участие в диагностическом семинаре БДИПЧ по оценке национальных структур и сервисов поддержки жертв преступлений на почве ненависти, по итогам которого БДИПЧ подготовило ряд рекомендаций для соответствующих государственных органов. Данные о преступлениях на почве ненависти регулярно публикуются Управлением по правам человека и правам национальных меньшинств при правительстве.

The police recorded a significant number of incidents that were later identified as a single, continuing, criminal offence normally prosecuted as a single case. As a result, these incidents are not matched with an equal number of prosecuted and sentenced cases. The police figures include incidents of incitement to hatred. The reported prosecution figures include cases initiated during the previous years.

Racist and xenophobic hate crime
In his report following a visit to Croatia, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe urged the authorities to improve the hate crime recording system and to systematically train law enforcement and legal professionals.
