Hate crime recording and data collection

Hate crime data are collected by the Ministry of Interior. ODIHR does not have any further information about the methodology and procedures for recording and collecting data on hate crime in Belarus.


Hate crime victim support

There are no services or structures specifically for hate crime victims in Belarus. All victims can receive support from the State through law enforcement and medical institutions. There is no formal referral mechanism for hate crime victims.

There are crisis centres, reference centres, and hotlines for women victims of domestic violence funded by international organizations. Some specific support mechanisms are available for victims of human trafficking.
